CapLid is manufactured using patented dry moulding technologies under exclusive license from PulPac of Sweden. Dry moulded technology is the first industrial method to convert cellulose fibres into rigid packaging solutions – price competitive enough to replace single-use plastics at scale.
The technology allows for high-speed production at low cost of packaging components of all types.
Fluff Pulp
The production process starts with fluff pulp – this can be from recycled materials or from sustainable virgin sources.
Cellulose fibers
Next, we convert the pulp into a web of low-density cellulose fibres. A firm yet flexible substance that can be moulded into any shape.
Moisture Resistance
It gets treated for moisture resistance before being pressed into a final shape, thanks to the patented mould technology.
